She dreamed of daises and fields of wildflowers, a little place to call her own. Nestled under a maple tree, beside the brambly hedges she would sit and fill her notebooks, with the songs of her heart.
The was something about the morning sunshine.. It was as if her faithful typewriter would suddenly play its own tune. Some mornings by the open window it almost knew the words before she had begun to tap the rusty keys.
Finally the mail has arrived and inside a sweet little package from Notemaker were six very delightful moleskine cahier journals just waiting to be stained with ink.
And so my year of writing begins.. with some words from 'Writing Down the Bones' my soul sings as the words pour onto the page.
Natalie Goldberg wrote in her book 'Writing Down the Bones' that her rule was to fill a notebook a month. I was first given this book just before I begin my writing degree in 2002. Ever since I have tried to find the perfect notebook to fill and dreamed of having enough beautiful words to write everyday. Finally in 2010, using one Moleskine Cahier notebook each month, I will stain my hands with ink, write my heart out and fill 12 notebooks by the last day of the year.
This little space is my ink collection, a place to share the ramblings of my notebooks and photography inspired by my writing.
